New Mexico is Spanish, Mexican, and Native American... To get hung up on dates of official Mexican control is ignorant... This land is Hispano...And always will be...

Song is cheesy, the lady has a very unimpressive voice.

@gpult Hispano?? really?? This is Native Land!! The Pueblos sounding it because the Spanish pushed them out! Someone look up the PUEBLO REVOLT and learn the truth of the Spanish's horrible past against the Native Americans in this area.

From reading comments I don't know whether I should go to Santa Fe or not.
Some people say there is nothing to do there, others say something different.
Do I need a car or there are buses that go to major tourist places?
How many days is a good number?
Thank you.

Santa fe is amazing! A bit expensive, but truly beautiful and wonderful place to live.

Ouch!!! Unfortunately, worse for us means genocide. But your pics are great! I both loved and hated visiting there. This was years ago...now considering a move. Funny how my opposite-end Santa Fe trail upbringing would send me to N.M. then and now interest me again. You're right, tho, we're all here together. I just wish the contrived "foreign" Hollywood feel would subside. Maybe the Recession put some sense and uprooted fake folks...hopefully. Good vid.

@princesscr009 - as a local who grew up here from 1950 til present you should really see some of the amazing sunrises and sunsets from the caja del rio area, montoso peak, cerro rito, and other places. You can also go out on horseback or hike to some of these areas. Not far from town. If interested I can inform you further in the interest of sharing my beautiful hometown.
i hate santa fe it sucked

santa fe used to be hispanic, indians mexicans artists.People had an authentic, earthy elegance ant the place had atmosphere. Now it is all angloized, dreary mean and depressing. What is worse is the phoney political correctness of all these sanctmonious whites towards other outsiders,as if they are protecting it from outside influenes.

Well, I'm just a white tourist who was passing through and really enjoyed what I saw and experienced. Every city has history ... everything changes, for better or worse.
