@mburke000 It's true. People trash it simply because it did so well. I didn't even like this kind of game (RPG) , but this game was SO good (my favourite of all I've ever played) it got me hooked to RPGs. Why? There's a reason it has been voted as "The Greatest Game Ever Made". It's a masterpiece.

@momojishu Well said. Thank you! This is my favourite game, so I can be defensive about it. =) However, I don't have to be when there are fair people like you. It's your opinion, and I respect it. You admit it's not your favourite. But unlike so many haters, you still admit that it is amazing. Just because one likes others more, should not mean you should trash a masterpiece because it's not your favourite. i just hate people who trash the game simply because it is very popular and successful.

While FFXIII is my favorite FF game (and I have played and beaten both it and FF7 multiple times), VII will always be a better game. Truly, this masterpiece is worthy as a candidate for the greatest game of all time. The characters are interesting, the story is engrossing, and the music is captivating. FFVII will always have a special place in my heart and its value as a game will never diminish.
