  • Another problem with OTC is the scan tool is obsolete after a few years.SPX,the owner of OTC also does not stand behind their equipment.I won't buy an SPX product because SPX screwed my father's family just over 40 years ago.

  • My shop just got one of these and they are smarter and quicker than my iphone. Just wish snap on made cell phones....

  • @skillz1855 From what I understand in your post, you work on mostly European stuff. I'm a HUGE Snap-On fan personally, but I'll be totally honest with ya bud. Snap-On's European software sucks. It's the biggest weakness Snap-On has with their diagnostic platforms. It's not really an issue for me cause there's VERY few European vehicles where I live. Now Asian imports, Snap-On does a real good job with, but if it's mostly European stuff you work on, you're way better off with the Lauch.

  • @robbetts128 how is this machine compared to the Lauch X431 master, or Autoboss V-30, I only repair imports and i dont think these are appropriate for my shop. is ECU coding an option, or adaptation, throttle angle setting, steering angle, central control module, etc mostly BMW,s / Mercedes

  • mrwhit1 I own the verus and played around with the pegisys. I could tell you a few things wrong with pegisys. first thing is you can not access repair information websites like iatn.net or your local parts house online. I run clearwire on mine and can access mitchell1 while on a test drive. Also with windows instead of linux I have no problem running ross-tech vag com. I also send all vehicle information and codes to the office computer in pdf format or I print it out on office printer.

  • @douro20 last i knew the pegisys is about 5500.00 and has got the same stuff or better.i used both and pegisys came out on top just a better scanner in my book

  • $9,000 for a Verus is not much when you consider the cost of the tools SPX sells.

  • Awesome tool, My customers are very happy!!!

  • Thanks for posting. Im considering getting it. Its a great diagnostic tool.
