11-09-01 Christ's Blues

I believe in God and a life after death. A fellow bass musician, Christian Lahr, died unexpectedly in summer 2011. This song emerged in my head late Tuesday night this week. It emerged in memoriam of Christian. This is why I called it Christ´s Blues. I played it - unrehearsed and spontaneously - first time on a jam at Monheimer Hof in Cologne yesterday night. I´m sure the song will still grow. The musicians who supported me (except bass of course) are the same when Christian was part of the band which played a long three hours concert a few weeks before... Christian and I did not know for a long time, but there was a strong musical harmony since we met. Rest in peace! I dedicate this song to his wife Angelika and the family.
