  • Ian Paisley is a legend, and a better man than most politicians today. I laugh at the people who say he kept sectarianism alive, you do realise he was the very first politician in North Antrim to improve housing for Catholics? As such he has attracted a lot of Catholic votes. Your all idiots, your willing to unjustifiably shun Ian Paisley but say nothing about Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness, you know, who were actually the ones killing people.

  • When Paisley was offered good money, power and a top job "never. never. never" quickly became "yes, yes, yes".

That is nonsense. The entire troubles were born of protestants attacking catholics under the guidance of politicians such as Paisley. It was the reason the British Army entered Northern Ireland in the first place. As far as Gerry Adams et al I wouldn't defend them in the slightest.

You act as if Paisley never had ties to the paramilitaries. What about his followers in the Ulster Protestant Volunteers committing the first bombings of the Troubles in 1969? Or all the UVF/UDA funerals he conducted? Or donning the red beret of Ulster Resistance? How about his disgraceful comments about Eugene Reavey?

  • "Where do the terrorists return to?!"

    DUP headquarters.

  • @Benjamino65

lol so it wasn't his party the upv that planted the first bomb of the troubles, and also he supported loyalists killing nationalists or even british soilders, saying it as in defence of unionism, or even attacking civil rights marches as the irish started with
