That sounds scary. The Lakota people are warriors and always have been.They are beautiful people.They are proud people that are sackled by their government like Americans are.Peace ane Love to all of us.

There's a much deeper lesson with what you saw and shared. Not knowing the family and situation leaves us confused but it sounds like a the depressions and challenges of Pine Ridge have taken its toll. Great job on the story-telling and escape.

Adventurers should know the history of places they go into before they trod into.
i am talking about wounds that have never healed. about how the 7th slaughtered hundreds of innocent women & children at Wounded Knee. . about how the 9th came to their rescue, when they should have left them.
about how congress let the Pineridge indians starve back in the 1800's.
and how they still persecute Peltier today.
the woman was feeling outrage, & nobody is innocent.

there is no label and this is just a story of something that happened to us along our 4000 miles walk across country. we met a lot of family's within the lakota nation. this is just one story. in no way implies everything is like this, it was an amazing learning experience, we met some of our greatest friends here. peace and love to pine ridge...
