do you have to use zinc sulfate? can u use sodium sulfate??

@mrjimparade No you can't. You can use another zinc salt, I have managed to do this also with Zinc Chloride (you can made this one dissolving a quantity of zinc into hydrochloric acid, remembering that the reaction is esothermic and produces a lot of highly flammable hydrogen gas). You need a salt which free Zinc Ions into the solution in order to do this.

@pauloemiliano11 you can buy via internet, but actually I don't know where you can buy. I bought my glass and my chemicals from special seller in my town. Anyway, for chemicals you can try at Sigma Aldrich or Alfa Aesar but I don't know if they sell chemicals to privates...

@maganalittlejoe dude go to walmart and buy pyrex it is the same thing just alot thicker but hey thicker is always better have you ever dropped a lab beaker its like they explode with the walmart pyrex its hard to bream it i dropped one off of a 4 foot tall counter and all that happened is it chipped
