One of the most ridiculous comments ever. Why would measuring the circumference of the earth allow us to discuss Jesus? Stop telling people to do things without reason, and from a supposed pedestal. The bible cannot undoubtedly or undeniably affirm a divine status to Jesus or anyone else. If it did, this would be to change to nature and constitution of a fact.

For someone who is a supposed Atheist, Pat Condell surely is sympathetic towards Judaism. Not once does he demonize that religion. Might as well call this character what he really is; a Jew.

I do not think that is out of line however what this guy is doing is directed toward anyone, not a particular individual. I know some great people that whether true or logical or not have strong faith and attribute that faith as the reason they were able to get through some pretty horrific events. I do see anything wrong with that if it works for them and I would never attempt to make a mockery out of them or their beliefs. That is simply wrong on so many levels.

I dont think their is anything inherently wrong with poking a bit of fun at someone who refuses to listen to reason. Im not gonna follow them down the street and scream it in their face. But if I engage with someone and I find what they are saying preposterous I will ridicule within respectable limits.

Freedom of speech was not intended to be a license to put other people down but I guess the consequences with free speech is that we can choose to act inconsiderate toward others. I personally choose to take the high road and treat people with respect even though their beliefs may be different than mine when I am treated the same way.

The bible is a collection of inconsistent, contradictory, ambiguous writings hobbled together by the early church. Much of it was written anonymously and at times and places unknown to this day. We don't even have the originals! We only have bits and pieces containing 1000s of discrepancies which are 'stitched' together to reconstruct 'Gods Word'. Little wonder no one can understand it!

Its called freedom of speech. Their is no freedom from being offended. If your beliefs cant hold up to debates thats ur problem not ours.
