Piper Cherokee PA28-7816483 (VH-JDI) crashes just short of Sorrento Golf Club just after 2.30 AEST. Clips power lines on approach but four occupants luckily escape serious injury. Media claims that the "... pilot voluntarily dropped the wings of the aircraft. That can be done on these small Cessna's" :)

LMFAO. Dropped the wings voluntarily. Glad I never pressed that secret button by mistake.
As for Cessna/Piper you all have better eyesight than me. I can just see a little white blur with a blue tail.

No one is neglecting the Cessna Corvalis 400. it's just that it was not originally made by Cessna, they just bought the Columbia company. So that plane was more popularly known as the Columbia 400.

They should have deployed the planes reserve wings (standard on all Cessna Cherokees, optional on Pipers). Were they beaten with a stupid stick...I mean seriously?
