i have loved George Jones for years and without a doubt he is recognized by his peers as the best. I believe it too however, to qualify...Vern had the best voice ever in country music. He never got the recognition as a true super star because George and a few others blocked him out by the record companies...too bad...he was and always will be the very best there ever was...

Members of my family had jam sessions about once a month in our home on Saturdays. My father played bass fiddle and sang many of the songs. One of my favorites that he sung was this song, and my father covered it perfectly. Every time I hear this song, it takes me back to those jam sessions and reminds me of him singing.

The "Voice" is probably one of the greatest singers ever. No one can match his voice...even ole' George, who every one thinks is the best has admitted that Vern has the best voice in country music.
