The Federal Election Commission says comedian Stephen Colbert can use his TV show's resources to boost his political action committee, but he must disclose some major expenses as in-kind contributions from the show's corporate owners. (June 30)

  • @rollsthepaul I think the same critique has come from other people as well only that people aren't educated enough to listen to them. Critique wrapped in comedy is easier to listen to I guess.

  • At first I just thought this was nothing but a comedy skit yet it is real although a stunt as part of Colbert’s continuing effort to expose what he considers absurdities in U.S. election law.

    Colbert actually was approved his super pac by what looked like a congress committee seen in another video so even though he is making fun of it, this is very real & is now allowed which is now more clear than ever that you the people don't elect politicians, it's the billionaires. The richer oligarch wins
