In a recent New England Journal of Medicine editorial University of Minnesota Infectious Disease expert Michael Osterholm says that despite a recent CDC report that claims foodborne illness is down in the past decade, cases of illness have not decreased. He also says new food safety legislation does not have the funding to make an impact.
