This is Alex & Lauren, with our very first vlog! We blog over at A Flight of Minds (http://aflightofminds.blogspot.com/). We also have Twitter, so check that out :) (http://twitter.com/aflightofminds).
We love YA books, and especially the fantasy genre, hence YA fantasy books being our very first topic. We talk about our favourite YA epic fantasy novels and just why exactly we love the fantasy genre so much.
I listended to the hobbit and liked the beginning but got bored in the middle. I finished it but had to drop the lord of the rings books.

Totally agree about Fantasy novels and that is also why I love fantasy. You should try reading Lost Year of Merlin saga by T.A. Barron and his other series which all involve Merlin in some shape or form.

Funny...I was thinking today that need a new fantasy book/series to read. And then this video was recommended to me on my YouTube home page.
I love fantasy books. Epic is the perfect word to describe them. Graceling is my favorite, as well as Juliet Marillier's novels.

To answer your inquiry regarding "meme" : A meme is a postulated unit of cultural ideas, symbols or practices, which can be transmitted from one mind to another through writing, speech, gestures, rituals or other imitable phenomena.
Supporters of the concept regard "memes" as cultural analogues to genes, in that they self-replicate and respond to selective pressures.
