Wow, that looks better than NwN 2.
I've done the first of those quests, and it was pretty fun. You could kill some dogs, intimidate them given you have enough skill, or "bribe" them with a hunk of meat, so they will follow you and help throughout the quest. Nice RPG touch, I'm glad Turbine focused on it at last!
That second quest looks nothing short of great. Narrow bridge, fighters blocking orcs, casters / archers on positions behind "tank tame". And those are free... Must go and play it now!
