This was taking from the dying moments of the strange skip that Britain had on the 20 June 2007.The country this was taking from was 108.

The radio is an Alinco DX70 on the 11m band calling frequency.

More videos will be coming soon of the ham bands and also local Edinburgh CB channel 19.

  • on a scale of 0.10 how would u rate these radios for 11m band,regards,26tm048.

  • HI TM048 i would say these radios are worth a shot! Basically i would rate them at 8/10. But mind you they don't have the features like Yaesu doe etc. It is a cheap and chearful rig that will get you on the air

    Good Luck!

  • Great vid and the DX-70 was doing a great job. I have a DX-70 too, but mine may be up for sale soon :-(

  • Thanks, its a bad day when you have to sell a radio. I hope you replace it with something good?

  • a pretty good radio going to waste on a illegal frequency

  • Got a ticket also mate but did you see me transmit on the band? Only Rxing.

Trust me the radio does get a good run on 20M

  • The bottom line if you wanna talk to exotic far away place's you gotta have 20 meter band privileges

  • ham radio exposed??? i started on cb and now have a ham licence????

I still talk on cb and get along with everyone, so what is the problem exactly??

  • go watch my video cb vs ham, it exposes ham oparators

  • thanks 4 reply,iv got a ts570dge kenwood,ranger 2995dx,and a magnum s9,which are all cracking radios,always liked the look of these alincos,so an 8.10 is good enough,many thanks for that,all the best,rich.26tm048.

  • You never know, I may even get to keep the DX-70, I don't really want it to go as it's a great radio, it's so good they still sell it today. Cheer's.
