@SirHungryHippo Right now they dont need a army no countries need a army now becouse of it is not a world war in this modern world but i think if it become a war and maybe some countries attack Japan. Japan will maybe get a army in the future becouse of DF (defence forces) is not good all times

@tajima85 it's not exactly what i'd call old equipment. They are getting hundreds of brand new tanks developed by Mitsubishi as well as brand new Cargo planes from Kawasaki, Fighter jets from Mitsubishi in less than 5 years. They got the aegis anti-missile boats co-developed with US recently and most of their equipment is still very modern
