From "A Night for North Koreans: Stateless Orphan Benefit Concert" at Yogiga Art Gallery in Hongdae, Seoul, on Saturday, January 16, 2010. This is the second part of a song performed by singer Kim Bok Ju - http://cafe.daum.net/qhrwn78/bGUp/1 - and accompanied by Sato Yukie - http://www.yogiga.com/yukie - on guitar. Kim is originally from North Korea, but managed to escape and a few years ago made her way to South Korea. Sato is a musician originally from Japan but who now lives in Seoul.

North Korean refugee women living in China sometimes marry (sometimes against their will)Chinese men. Later, if the woman is caught by Chinese police and forcibly sent back to North Korea, her husband sometimes abandons any children they may have had together or he simply may be unable to care for them. No one knows for sure, but there may be 10,000 or more such children.
