Excellent Exercise For Stability, why have people got to be so petty by leaving nasty comments on a video, where someone like Carey has taken valuable time to make these excellent instructional videos, funny thing is i bet the only exercise they get,is when they go to the store to get their donuts, and coke!!

Gymnasts training for balance ey? Balance on what? their hands? so do handstand pushups and variations thereof, or maybe balance in positions like planche\maltese... so train your planche\maltese, there is no situation I can think of where I'd use a one legged variation of this exercise, I wouldn't call that functional.
If I were a breakdancer looking for functional\compatible strength to breaking, you know what I'd do? I'd breakdance. There's functionality for you.

What she is doing is actually quite beneficial for the entire muscular chain. She should save it for people that truly appreciate her knowledge and can put it to use. BTW people probably pay her $40.00 + per hour to train them. FYI

"wth is functional about standing on one leg rowing a colored dumbell?"
What is functional about it is the development of balance. If you want to gain weight, yes heavy ass weights are the way to go. But not everybody trains for mass - some train for balance (gymnasts).
