Nile Rodgers began his career performing guitar with house bands on Sesame Street, and at Harlem's Apollo Theater. He then went on to form the group Chic with partner Bernard Edwards, writing, producing and performing.
Nile Rodgers has produced/performed with Sister Sledge, Madonna, David Bowie, Diana Ross, Eric Clapton, Peter Gabriel, INXS, the B52's, Hall and Oates, Mick Jagger, Stevie Winwood, Sheena Easton, Slash, The Thompson Twins, Duran Duran, Jeff Beck, and Bob Dylan.

a further thought -the blending of the voices, the music and the crisp production...its very close to Abba...listen to Abba's 1979 album Voulez Vous, especially The King Has Lost HisCrown and If It Wasnt For The Nights

THE RECORD PRODUCERS - TOM DOWD ABBA were impressed with the nature of a pile of records that had come out of Atlantic Records, or the Warner Brothers complex, and they were interested in trying to put together an American rhythm section to try and make demos of several songs of a particular type

memories!thank you. not heard this for 30 yrs. this and the albums title track Real People are absolute classics. beautiful melody, simple hypnotic minimalist production, strings/synth and bass, classy vocals -i love it!

man, I wore this album out!!! if I were stranded on a desserted island and could only listen to 10 albums , this would be one of them. every track is excellent. fav.track is " you cant do it alone."

This song came from the album "Real People" which is okay but the title track-Real people is so true and I sing it all the time. All the songs on this album are jamming, especially "he's a chip off the old block" what a guitar lick!

I wish I could upload the songs, true Chic fans would love it.
