American Muslims Travel for Hajj by the Thousands

One of a Muslim's duties, according to the five pillars of Islam, is to make a pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca at least once during his or her lifetime. An estimated three million Muslims have traveled to Mecca to perform the Hajj. This year, 12,000 American Muslims are performing this particular pillar of Islam. Mohamed Elshinnawi has more.

@345678894 True but they are not sacrificing anything, they are being rewarded plus it is only obligatory for Muslims who have the health and money to do so, once in a lifetime too.

He neither begets nor is born, Nor is there to Him any equivalent) - Belief in His Angels - Belief in His Messengers (Noah, Abrahim, Isaac, Jacob, David, solomon,.... For muslims around the world, performing HAJJ once in a lifetime is obligatory for those who are able financially. poor are excempted. ISLAM has an answer for everything.

sir, im muslim myself and i have many relatives and family friendz who perform hajj

yes, som saudeez and some private biznesses 2 help out some poor pilgrims but they r very few,

da free food given for da most part doesnt have protein (which is da real deal ) only carbs such as rice and even that is full of bugz and vermin. it wud had been better not 2 give such free food 2 begin with

all im saying iz, lets put stuff in proper perspective.

A lot of rich people give free package trips for people to go to Meeca so they could perform Haj..

People who live in SAUDI give FREE FOOD for pilgrims (people who come to Meeca for HAJ)

Restaurants hand out food..

Stores give out necessities. HAVE YOU SEEN ANY RELIGION help each other like that??
