fw - iOS 4.2.1
baseband iPad 6.15.00
bootrom - newer
- Install iTunes 10.1
- Plug in iPhone
- Restore IOS 4.2.1 (Apple Original) using 'Shift-Restore'

- Got the '1015' error at the end. OK and continue close iTunes.
- Modify Windows \System32 \drivers \etc\hosts file
74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
- Run redsn0w 0.9.6b6 (http://www.iphoneworld.ca/download-for-iphones3/redsn0w_win_0.9.6b6.zip)
- Hit browse
- Select the Original IOS 4.2.1
- Click Yes on question if is the newer iPhone
- Select 'Just enter pwned DFU mode right now' This step is important !!
- Follow instructions to put iPhone in pwned DFU.
- Download pwned Custom IOS 4.2.1
- Run iTunes
- Restore CUSTOM IOS 4.2.1 (not Apple Original, but downloaded from megaupload !!)
