Last week, we were introduced to Fredo and his life in the province with his loving family. But when his father is abducted and his mother is killed, life takes a darker turn for Fredo and his grandmother.

Forced out of their home and into the streets of Manila, Fredo loses his grandmother, his belongings, and then his freedom. A syndicate takes a hold of the young man and tries to turn him into a criminal -- something his father has always told him never to become. With the memories of his father, Fredo tries to help the other forced members of the syndicate escape with him, but while looking for his new friends Wena and Tikboy, he gets caught by Boss Elvis's right hand man.

Badly beaten, Fredo is left for dead in an alley. But with determination, he forces himself to stand up and get help -- only to end up in the path of a speeding vehicle.
