  • Viva Portugal y España.

  • No mate this isn't ladino language, this is portuguese language and i know that since im portuguese and its my language, and portuguese don't came from ladino cames from galaico-portugues. i supose the name ladino used in the title of the song is used to show the influence of other cultures in fado music especially the arabic influences (as we can listen in the lyrics she speaks about the orient that are in us) they just used all this instruments to pop up the arabic flavour that exists in fado

  • @Moixesefarad While some expressions and small influences can be found from Jewish language, the influence of Jews in Portugal is reflected more in the people and culture (many important Portuguese figures in history are Portuguese Sephardi Jews). In the other hand Arabic influences is way bigger (compared with Jewish) in the language. All Portuguese words that begin with al- are from Arabic, other exp is Oxalá word from Insha'Allah (with same meaning and sound), many other examples.

  • @Moixesefarad Yes you are correct that Portugal has a great jewish infuence in culture/population, but not in the language. Jewish language in PT was called Judaeo-Portuguese (Lusitanic), which is basically extinct just like Judaeo-Spanish (Landino). Lusitanic is very similar to Landino since both influenced each other and both were used only by Jews which were always a minority. Portuguese language did not derived from Lusitanic nor Landino,

  • @tacv and jewish influences. All people know the big influence of jewish culture in Portugal and the big percentage of population with jewish origin, about 20% of population

  • @tacv this is portuguese, but a portuguese language as spanish has many influences from arabish language due to Muslims, which was living on Peninsula during medieval

  • Lindo.Mescla de várias sonoridades.Viva a Península Ibérica!
