Keighley and Worth Valley Railway Autumn Steam Gala, 12/10/08

Finally, my first steam gala of being 15 years old! anyway me and my mate Allen Wiggins(stickleback depot to youtubers haha) took a trip to the KWVR's 3rd and final Steam gala of 2008, the Autumn steam gala! in action were locos in the form of guest loco S160 class 5197 and home based locos like Ivatt 2MT 41241(which i cabbed during the event!), Standard 4MT tank 80002 and WD 8F 90733, the gala was blessed with a mix of weather conditions, early morning was dull, foggy, cold then towards the end, alomst cloudless skies and warm sun! odd for Yorkshire at this time of year, in the video there are some lineside videos towards the end, Don't Worry they were taken from places ok for the General Public, sad for some but i was over the moon to hear that Taff Vale Railway 85 had failed!

it was a joke with a friend of mine who works there an adores 85 haha

Well Done, fantastic, but one thing after reading the description of the video, No.85 had not failed the driver had been taken ill that morning and there was no one to replace them on such short notice hence the reason to why it didn't run.

Ahh rite, well i gathered it had failed in the morning but was told by someone i knew from the railway that the drvier had been taken ill and none of the other drivers on shed wanted to take her out. And Wooopp Saw myself :]

nice one 5* really need 2 go 2 the kwvr again sometime, only went once in jan 2003, they had the railcar and the jinty running. this is the fourth time you've been to the kwvr this year isn't it?

thanks josh! yeah 5197 looked brill double heading with 90733, yeah i got a return run of the Ivatt, 957 was taken off at Haworth but i didn't use it cos there wasn't enuf room on video haha, thanks again
