This is the most underrated Bond movie of all time. I love it since the first time i saw it, it's a sort of Casinò Royal but the people wasn't ready for this kind of violence and feeling of an humanize Bond. Sorry for the language but I'm italian and I love Bond!

I love the opening of this movie. Probably the best Bond intro before the opening credits and a strong Bond song as well. Timothy Dalton is the only actor that did Bond right. It's a shame he didn't get to do Golden Eye, I think that would have increased his likeability even more amongst Bond fans. Favorite Bond growing up in the 80s and still my favorite today.

best bond movie ever

also i would imagine that any spy or secret agent would be mostly like craigs Bond, ruthless and brutal which is exactly what ian fleming wanted, he didnt want the playboy type bond which moore was good at, although i enjoyed all bond movies and the actors tht played bond because they were all different. Imo though, i think brosnan was the best, because he could do both and make it look good, charming but ruthless and brutal when he needs to be, and connery is wayyy overated.

Hmm. A satisfying and understandable explanation. Maybe some can see it that way too.

craig: brutal, assassin type Bond
connery: smooth laid back bond
moore: playboy bond, loves the women
brosnan: could do charming and ruthless and it worked with him, i dont know why it just did, he pulled it off.
dalton: he tried to do what brosnan did, but it wasnt as good as brosnan, also craig plays bond how ian fleming wanted bond to be played but ian died and had no say in the matter, in the books its craigs bond.

@lassolegenda its because Timothy Dalton, although a good actor couldnt portray Bond properly, one minute hes like craigs bond, all brutal and ruthless, then the next hes all comedic and chaming n all that and i guess it didnt work, see craig doesnt do all the charming business, hes just brutal and ruthless like an assassin, connery was more cool and laid back, moore was more of a playboy type, more about the women brosnan could do both he was really good, but dalton struggled with the role

@tenya33 i agree but i thought after die another day it went bad

I think the main villain Franz Sanchez was based on Pablo Escobar; he was basically Escobar on steroids, that is, a drug kingping only far more powerful.
I love the amount of respect this movie is finally getting from james bond fans! Love it!!

I just can't figure out why everyone thinks this is one of the weakest Bonds. Like, it seems many people like to bash it because others do too. It's in my top5 Bonds.
LtK had the balls to be a little more brutal and serious with a pinch of influence from the action spectacles of its time (Lethal Weapon, Die Hard). The action is good, Dalton looks cold as shit and they even had this great theme that bares close resemblance to the classic Goldfinger.
What's not to like?
