4-Runners seem to handle trails amazingly. They're just well built vehicles.

where do you get solid axles for these? all most every video, a toyota that is supposed to have IFS has solid axles, indicating to me, that it is easy to do. so, is it easy to do and what axles would one swap from?

Most people use a front axle from a 85 or older toyota 4 runner or pickup. Try local salvage yards or online. This axle was salvaged from an older truck we used to wheel and then the frame bent in half so we took the drivetrain out and put it into this 4 runner.

Any idea on what springs this rig is running? I have a 84 4Runner 2Ldiesel that i want to get more flex out of to keep up with a mates Patrol in the rough stuff

They are custom made. I forget the length but they have heim joints in the eye of the leaf spring to allow them to twist in the shackle mount. Works well!
