A clip from the movie East Of Eden (1955). Starring: James Dean as Cal Trask, Julie Harris as Abra, and Raymond Masssey as Adam Trask (Cal's Father). In the ending of this scene, Cal confesses to his father that he doesn't want his love or anyone esle's anymore. Lines that I think, goes deeper than the script, and may have pertained to Jimmy's personal life as well. And the way he expresses it in this scene is very heartbreaking.

@ gabriellemonday. Read Steinbeck's book (on which the movie is based) and you'll see that the mother was a person nobody could ever love, even though Cal's father tried.

James Dean was one of the greatest actors ever. Being overrated is impossible for James. You can never give James too much credit...because he deserves every bit of it.
