Genghis Khan trailer - Charlton Heston, Pat Morita, et al

OK, so the deal with this is that it was shot in the 90s, and then they ran out of money, so it was abandoned. Now, apparently, some company has acquired the rights and they are going to edit what they have of it into a full movie and release it on DVD. Should be an amazing car wreck.. especially with a white guy from Alabama as Genghis Khan.

The person who posted this amazingly did not mention that the director is the legendary and great director Ken Annakin (Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines, Swiss Family Robinson, Those Daring Young Men in Their Jaunty Jalopies, etc.), who at age 93 actually edited the finished product just before he died. This means the person who posted this has absolutely no knowledge of film. Even Star Wars geeks know that George Lucas named Anakin Skywalker after Ken Annakin.

I'm a 21-year-old girl, not a Star Wars geek. Anyway, none of this changes the fact that it's a horrifically poorly-made trailer. The film's not out there so I can't judge it but I thought others might get a laugh from this abomination of a trailer.

Oh, I see that Ken Annakin directed 1972's The Call of the Wild, one of the most shit films ever and one that Charlton Heston himself urged people not to watch.

Only the Persian historian who never met Genghis nor lived in the same life time claimed Genghis had red hair. Other descriptions make no such comment. Instead he was described as typically Asian. And given the stock he was from, it would make the most sense.
