  • Horray at last someone not poking at the sensor with cleaning swabs liquids or other sensor killing instruments of torture.

  • *chuckles* You could say that again.

  • @Lilkiwiguy87 Is there anything I can to to prevent it?

  • In few months, yes, we're afraid so. Never put liquid of any kind (moisture from your breath included) on exposed electronics such as the sensor.

  • @superkiwizorro I just blow into to my dlsr to get dust off of the mirror and view finder screen thing and then immediate wiped it off did I just ruin my camera?

  • thanks for this tutorial!! :) now i know. :)

  • @eliopoulos97 LOL you're toooo funny! of course not! your breath is full of moisture, just like spit but in air form. you breathe in your camera onto cold shutter mirror, sensor, focusing screen, and viewfinder prism... few months later, there will be glass-eating fungus stains all over the place and it won't be covered by warranty. you breathe in your camera, you kill it instantly. use the technique that is shown in the video because that's what your camera manual recommends.

  • Can i just blow into the camera with my mouth. (not hard) And no i wont spit in it...

  • went out with my d7000 and 105 micro vr2

made a couple of test shots and discovered at home that perhaps at around f22 i could see 2 spots, one up one down, then i remembered that i could see the same spots in the same place with other lenses too (35mm) then i readed this, watched this video

and the 2 spots are completely gone (in case they come back any time soon i will write it here.

i only used a giotto airblower, very careful not to touch the sensor and mirror

    perfect

  • Great video, thanks.

  • I love the use of Explosions in the Sky

  • Thanks for the detailed tutorial.
