a really excellent performance of my generation by the who, live on the groovy 60's smothers brothers show, ending with the classic explosions and so on...

  • Watching Keith carefully, one can tell that they are miming to the original studio track (with the exception of Roger's vocal, I believe)- the sounds of shock in the audience after the explosion make this pure gold.

  • townshend was mental back then i dont get why he dont smash stuff up 2 day because that would be cool

  • watch closly as John Entwhistle stands there like a goodboy! XD 2:13 to 2:55

  • @SchizoidMan100 This is how Keith explained it (but he always was fibbing), he said that they were supposed to have a small explosion, and he personally loaded his kick drum with 3x the "normal" amount of cherry bombs, this led to Keith's arm being cut by a rogue cymbal and literally knocking Pete's hair sideways... However it happened, it'll live in rock history forever.

  • g g gg.. .generation

  • @PassTheCemeteryGates Well, the way I heard it was the cannon misfired during rehersal, so Keith loaded it properly, then the stage crew also loaded it not knowing Keith already did it...and put in a 2x charge to make sure. So there is Keith Moon with 3 cannon charges in a cannon made for one. At the end of this, Keith was blasted, Pete lost some hearing and Rogers hair caught fire. That is how Tommy Smothers explained it.

  • bassists ,you are all looking for 0:55.

See The Ox magic in action.

  • where bullshit replaced talent

  • @BeOutThere 0_o wa? Your closer to joy division than that. XD

  • @Joe007ofrockk honestly every generation has their artists, deal with it. Honestly I'm tired of wannabe 14 and 13 year olds posting this shit as if they secretly admired these artists.
