@SchizoidMan100 This is how Keith explained it (but he always was fibbing), he said that they were supposed to have a small explosion, and he personally loaded his kick drum with 3x the "normal" amount of cherry bombs, this led to Keith's arm being cut by a rogue cymbal and literally knocking Pete's hair sideways... However it happened, it'll live in rock history forever.

@PassTheCemeteryGates Well, the way I heard it was the cannon misfired during rehersal, so Keith loaded it properly, then the stage crew also loaded it not knowing Keith already did it...and put in a 2x charge to make sure. So there is Keith Moon with 3 cannon charges in a cannon made for one. At the end of this, Keith was blasted, Pete lost some hearing and Rogers hair caught fire. That is how Tommy Smothers explained it.
