"barely more than half" of the voting members voted for the resolution to create Israel in 1947. So the General Assembly at that time was also a "laughing stock" in terms of its credibility based on her logic.

To answer her question at the end, YES. The prosecution of Israelis responsible for war crimes is a good outcome even if the report is one-sided and Ms. Bayefsky was censored as claimed in this video (without evidence i might add).

Just look at WHO voted for what.... look where were the free countries. Where were the democracies.
The Goldstone resolution:
Now, decide who you are with - Iran, Sudan, Cuba and Syria, or Australia, Canada, the USA and Netherlands.
The 1947 resolution (181):
Now, decide who you are with - the only countries who voted against were Afghanistan, Cuba, Egypt, Greece, India, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, Yemen.
In both cases it is clear when the MORALITY is.

Just another lame attempt by Israel to deny reality.

I read the Goldstone report, it absolutely does condemn Hamas for their actions and lists out the war crimes they committed.

If Israel continues down the path they are on, they will eventually lose their only friend in the US and eventually, their country.

This woman literally skirted up to the podium unannounced and unathorized to make an "impromptu" speech. Kick the bitch out --- oh wait, they did. HAHAHA

Don't get your panties in a bunch.

First of all, your stock is likely British considering your country's history.

Second of all, you're going way off thread.

Third of all, how is supporting a true democracy (Israel) and not a quasi-religious militia-controlled rogue pseudo government that believes terrorism is the answer, somehow making a "joke of democracy"?

Looks like you're the one who's been manipulated.

Lemme guess, you're Muslim, aren't you?

The U.N. is a joke. They remind me of the Olympic Commitee. They should kick it out of New York and turn the building into condos.

Why do liberals support terrorist organizations, communist, socialist and every other war lord around the world. What do they see in them? It's like they put these blinders on and think they're looking at some B-Hollywood Norma Rae fight against the corporate machine. Every bit of good in this world is as a result of FREE and Capitalist society. please find me some good that has come from Hamas. Have they done one single thing to help their people? NOTHING ZIP NADA.

Bayefsky is, as usual, spot on. The UN is a laughing stock.

How credible is a "vote" by a collection of despots and dictators?
