  • What a heap of sales jargon that's the biggest load of fucking hype I have ever heard don't let this guy fool you all any adult knows that this is good gear but listen to what this guy is saying, he is talking high tech jargon that in reality defeats the purpose of home theatre itself. It gets to a stage where all these so called " this adds up to that" does not matter. It's a fucking overkill and that's that. People for fuck sake stop kissing ass.

    Sorry you missed it!

  • have any solid state amps been able to match the tonal realism that tube amps have? great explanation on the amps and d/a converters too!

  • @StanchionM99

Many thanks! I have experimented extensively with both types of amplification technology and it takes roughly four to eight times greater precision in order that a solid state device essentially eliminate it's tonal contribution to the playback chain. It therefore indeed becomes very very expensive to execute the Kipnis Studio Standard (KSS) without tubes, since they are naturally well suited to colorless amplification in addition to being quite affordable.

The point of the Home Theater Forum video interview was to explore some of the specifics involved in my unique Kipnis Studio Standard (KSS) design philosophy regarding home theaters. To that end, I answered all of Scooter Jolly's questions as completely as possible. If you have questions, I would be happy to answer them.

  • You don't usually get fantastic sound quality without a certain degree of bulk!

Please examine recent Krell and Mark Levinson product for a comparison.

    Cheers -

    Jeremy

A tremendous meeting of enthusiasm, expertise and means.

I commend you good sir ;-)

How dearly I'd love to experience the impact of a system such as yours someday.

  • @grassy00

Would you mind explaining how high-tech jargon defeats the purpose of Home-Theater? It might help to initially define the "purpose" of home-theater to which you refer.

  • dude this is fkn awesome! I wish I had a home theater like that lol

  • or to put it more specfically, can the best solid state designs sound better than the best tube-based designs?

  • 4-8 times greater precision? that is difficult for sure, but if it is executed properly, do u think solid state amps can sound better than tube amps?

  • Beautiful gear, thanks for posting this.

I often listen to your fathers recordings on an old, heavily modified Dynaco 70 tube amp and yes, it DOES sound better. Of course, no one could play like Igor. May he rest in peace at the right hand of God.
