Field Notes from this test:
More ash in the filter than forest crap.
Must use pot lid at all times.
Candle and wind screen must be on a solid surface.
Emergency use only. Water tasted like burned candle wick.
See note about lid.

  • I thought that you could change the flint and spring in Clipper lighters? If you pull on the wheel it comes out along with the spring in a tube?

  • @jbdtaylor You can if you did not melt the plastic that holds the wheel in place. I think I melted it enough that the spring started to push the wheel to one side. Ruined a really good lighter.
