  • The PP pistols with heel type magazine releases were mainly produced in 9X17 Kurtz and some or possibly all of the very rare 6.35mm.

Most were used to fulfill outside contract orders so not many remained in Germany.

All Manhurin production used the side button type magazine release.

The magazine for the 6.35mm caliber pistols is actually a Walther Model 8 magazine inserted into a standard 7.65mm magazine body. Hope these tidbits help expand your knowledge of these fine pistols.

  • @onmilo

    Thanks for the info!

  • no mine different ...im not sure what it is maybe you can help ....it has marking on left deutche werke D which snake with a circle around it then the words werk erfurt. .....it has the emblem on the wooden grips snake in a D shape on both sides... i dont know , if you help that would be good ....thanks

  • I asked my forum buddies (Istra Champion and Tomy) and they said what you have there is a ORTGIES handgun, made in Deutsche Werke A.G. factory in the city of Erfurt. It was manufactured between 1921-1928 in two models/sizes and in two calibers (6.35 and 7.65mm (.25 & .32ACP).

  • I shot the PPS "Sport" a few times now, chambered as a .22lfb, and even on 50 meters it´s pretty accurate. It was made in 1940, and now has a small callibre barrel in it, it was used from the Reichspolizei for more than 3 years and shoots well, even after over 70 years. I don´t know - will a Glock survive that? They are tough, I know - but that...

  • smith n wesson owns the carl walther design for the ppk

  • @vitotiv mislim da gresis. PPK znaci Polizei pistole kriminal. PP znaci Polizei Pistole. Radjen je u kalibrima .22 lr (5.6mm), .32ACP (7.65x17mm) i .380ACP (9x17mm K).

Svi su modeli uradjeni sa slobodnim zatvaracem. Ja imam kopiju ovog pistolja - Cesku Zbrojovku Vzro 70 u kalibru 7.65mm. Inace vrlo dobar pistolj.

  • dobar video

  • my dad bought one home , it has the release in the mag. grip ...i have never shot it. thanks
