  • Hey lid,

Nice work, do you have a printable version of this circuit?

I see there is no auto relay, this just gets better and better!

I get 11 days off for Christmas, and I hope to make this circut.

I have three 2n3055 transistors a rheostat a 1k pot and one modified cfl.

    Can I make this work?

I still need to get the car coil.

I live a mile away from a junk yard, I should be able to get a few for cheap.

Keep up the great work dude!

  • Eddie--This is a really simple way to light up a gutted CFL using an ignition coil and a battery. I got down to just two 2n3055 transistor and still made it oscillate. The litle 2n2222 as the first trigger helps. I'm having great fun using this as a hybrid Tesla coil that makes blue and purle acrs. I do not have a printable circuit. Just freeze frame the video and make a sketch. There are just a few parts and away you go.

  • Hi Eddie,

Aromaz ran a string of CFL bulbs for a day on a small 12 volt battery. I have not even tried to do that yet.

  • Really cool Lid,,

    good job!!

    Bill

  • Bill check out the next video it gets even better. Just (2) transistors.

much appreciate your videos.....I am behind you guys about 6 months hence comment here. My Bedinni self resonates just by connecting it to the plus and minus on the Auto coil. Two leads from ground, one from copper pipe (2 ft long) one from steel (2 ft long) Connected to the AC connection on a bridge redtifier. The DC side of the bridge + & - connected to a 500 volt 10 mf cap. When I connect the HV lead to the + or - side on the cap it charges to 500 vdc in about 30 seconds.

  • lidmotor,

    did your transistor get hot?

  • jump on ebay for second hand ignition coil.. i got 2 for 10 bucks

  • Thats exactly what I did.

I'm still a little fuzzy on a connection but I'll just experiment and figure it out.

Have you tried this set up with the little 9 volts in series?

I can tell I'm going to be hooked on this little circuit just like I am the bedini.

Aromas is getting good results, he has 6 cfls in series lighting up real nice.

This takes emergency lighting to a whole new level.

How long can you run the lights on a single charge 12 volt battery?

    Eddie

  • Hey Drevtoobe,

    Why dont you build one?

This stuff is a blast to mess around with.

You've obviously got the brain for it.

    Eddie

  • Cool cant wait,

    great work,, Bill
