To respond to some of the people who said that they didn't see my "Coach Geoff's Fitness" series going anywhere, here's the plan:

Ep 1- introduce pushups
Ep 2- introduce pullups, chinups, chest ups etc.
Ep 3- introduce core exercises
Ep 4- introduce leg exercises
Ep 5- introduce posterior chain exercises and shoulders/pressing exercises
Ep 6 and beyond- workouts with scalable exercises that beginners through experts can benefit from. The "fun stuff" is just an example of how far you can go with these simple exercises! I hope that clears up some things.

  • whats the difference b/w elbows out n elbows close?

  • elbows out puts mopre of the load on your pecs, elbows close puts more on your triceps and anterior deltoids

  • Okay... you are, or have been at some point, a gymnast, right? Because I've gone to school with a freaking boatload of WOGA gymnasts for the last 10 years, and I have never met anyone besides a gymnast who can do that. *nods* Very impressive!

  • my vaulting coach wants me to be able to do the ones you do at 3:00 I can do like two with my hands in that position but can't get my feet off the floor yet.... any tips? or is it just a matter of sticking to it and continueing to work on them?

  • My former nutrition teacher used to measure body composition using this crazy chair at the bottom of a swimming pool thing....

    According to her, the people who sank the fastest and had the most lean body mass/least fat were gymnasts.
