Joe and I put together a NXT and wrote code that drives it, based on commands sent from another program we wrote running on my netbook. Commands are sent over Bluetooth. Robot runs leJOS; laptop program written in Python using the PyBluez library for access to the Bluetooth stack.

Herky-jerky movements of robot allow us to know how much it moves each time it's told to go 'forward;' in theory this allows a backtracking subroutine to return it to Bluetooth range should we drive it out.
