  • hi, i'm just wondering does it change the chemistry of the lipstick to heat it at all? i know the colours change but i've also heard it can affect the emulsifiers and make it not last as long. do you know anything about this? thanks!

  • warming it to melt doesnt change, its bringing it to boil does - much lime any mixture really, once it boils it changes. So dont let it reach a boil.

  • I love those measuring cups you get in the US , they look like Barbie saucepans!

  • hahha mistressPolly - never thought of it like that before!

  • Do you recommend mix colors to get custom shades or does that mess with the formulas?

  • hey Shari - yes definitely mix the colors to make other colors.

  • seems like you wud get a lot of product wastage wen u melt it cuz of the leftovers in the melting cup.....good idea tho for lipstick left in the bootom of the tube

  • i have a question. when you r in the melting stage, can you add any kind of flavouring to the lip stick? but so that the mixture wont change in looks or anything it will just have a nice flavour to it now. can u do that?
