Temple Students for Justice in Palestine welcomes author Dr. Norman Finkelstein. Dr. Finkelstein, a son of Holocaust victims, is a leading advocate for Palestine in the nation. This advocacy has embroiled the professor in ferocious tenure battles which raise free speech issues as important as the human rights issues with which he is identified.

I was also in attendance, I recorded the entire event, but unfortunately had to erase much of the beginning so I could get the end. I haven't had a chance to review it yet, but I believe I have almost all of the Q&A. I kept my camera on Dr. Finklestein, and tried to catch the questioners with my iPhone. I've never done any video editing so it might be a little while before I upload though.

What the...? Someone is going to condemn all that Mr. Finkelstein says because he supports Amnesty International? You have to take these things in steps. So what if he supports an organization that wants to abolish the death penality. He can't control everything every group is about. I'm sure he thinks AI overall is better than not, but perhaps AI is flawed in YOUR opinion. It does NOT mean Finkelstein agrees with everything AI is about.

@Uncle99B Wow! You can name 50 prominent Israelis whom you believe to be from Europe. Can you name 50 prominent Palestinian Arabs from Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, etc.? Neither point is relevant. I welcome parallels with Nazi Germany, but do them for the Arabs as well as for the Jewish State. Which has laws forbidding citizenship or home ownership to people because of their religion? Hint- Not Israel. Which has Muslims, Christians, and Jews in prominent positions? Hint- Not Arabs.

@mikep1738 . I can name maybe 50 prominent Israelis and every single one of them is a white European. Israel is nazi Germany all over again, with the whote Europeans as the arayans, the arabs as the gypsies, and the darker Jews as untermenschen . It is a sick philosphy mired in the late 19th century that needs to be eradicated
