Steroids make people look good. On the flipside, someone who lost 300 lbs of fat may not look in optimal health, because they still have some fat to lose. Someone else might be fighting a disease that has nothing to do with their diet. And let's not forget photoshop! There's too many factors to even think about going by appearance alone.
I think *some* raw foodies, vegans, etc. are people looking for a cause...and get all preachy. When the preaching doesn't create the worshippers they think it will, they get permanently cranky.
You see such cranky fanatics in sports, politics, music, religion, etc...anywhere where there are feeble causes.
They usually mean well, but are guru-wannabes (bible thumpers).
Great vid Frederic, I'm glad you addressed this. As a rawfoodie who is in the spotlight a fair bit people regularly expect me to look like some beam of light or something lol. One thing for sure is that personally I'm doing the best with my genetics that I can do and that's the most important factor :) Glad you're enjoying The Greek Islands, amazing place, try to get to Turkey too if you can, I had a great time there.
This important to remember. I don't expect myself to be transformed into a supermodel with raw foods! LOL I've been raw for over a year, and have recently noticed a decline in my health, so I need to pay attention to me and my own intuition, not how others look. :-)
That's a great point! Many of the truly beautiful raw foodists out there looked great BEFORE they even went raw. The ones who have seen major health improvements may not look the best because they have come from such a place of poor health.
Improved health should always be the focus, not the way you look compared to everyone else.
exactly!! I look quite a bit better then i did before I went raw. hrmmm... my grey hair is increasing though... but I've been going grey since I was 15 years old.
