My main points:
1. Respect other peoples talents (you don't have to buy their material but respect them if they are good at what they do even if they are different from the normal sounds you hear daily)!
2. Doing clean runs/riffs does not make you a great singer by itself (self explanatory)!
3. Being a little more cultured by listening to different styles of music and not just the same artists all the time will help in your growth as an artist!
4. Learn from artists, don't mimic them! (Mimic also means style, sound, the way you run, etc.) Too many folks sound just like Kim and it is a bit scary! What's more scary is that most of y'all don't realize it...lol!
5.Singing did not start with the artist you enjoy listening to! IT HAS BEEN AROUND FOREVER! REALLY, it has! Do some research!
6. Running a lot in a song doesn't show greatness, it shows WACKNESS! There is a time and a place for runs and when done, it should be for real purpose with a connection to the lyric and music! Though doing a run for the purposes of it being cute is fun, it is amateur!
7. We already have one Kim Burrell, Karen, Brandy, Jazmine, Tonex and J Moss - WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER!
8. Enjoy the gifts God has given each individual! Don't be jealous or knock it because you just don't understand it or it makes you feel inferior! Keep it cute!
9. None of us are perfect so stop acting like it!
10. This is my OPINION, not LAW (though it should become law...lol)!
11. I just made this last one so people wouldn't think I was trying to make my own singer's TEN COMMANDMENTS! You know some of the "saints" would step off their high horse just to read me and can you imagine how some of the supposed Saints would act if they thought that's what I was doing?...lol...UGH, that brings up another topic for a video! :D
Bless!

Thank You so much for pointing out that in the gospel industry's eyes if you cant do runs like Dorinda Clark Cole or J moss then you cant sing... I appreciate it a lot...

"The next time I visit the critical person's channel and they can't stay on pitch for more than 15 seconds." (pause and glare)....That cracked me up!...LOL..Seriously, though I appreciate your message here. It is so true.
