@MyBaptistHealth , my surgeon told me that i 'd be able to walk normally, but my therapies said i can't because of the 5 screws placed horizontally on my knee. you think my surgeon did the right way of operation? it was happend 2 years ago, and if ever the screw will remove, is there any posibility to bend my knee again? thaks for the advice, i really want to know, i starting losing my hope and faith, i'm only 21, and its really a big obstacle in my everyday life.

I am 53, female.. going for bilateral knee replacement..but in my quest to loose 40 pounds before the procedure ... ..not easy but doing it! ...Pain is constant and my walking is very limited ...Vocational Rehabilitation will fund my surgery because is needed in order to keep my actual job ..
im having trouble with my leg, i cant bend my knee. i have had operation in my femur, my doctor said that i can go back to my normal walking but why i can't? i did medication and therapy but its hopeless. what else i can do???

@ymay05, If you have had surgery on your femur and your surgeon told you that you'd be able to walk normally yet you can't, I would recommend that you schedule a follow up with your surgeon. There isn't a way to give advice on what you should do without knowing exactly what surgery you had on your femur. If you are having issues with not being able to bend your knee, it's possible that it could be a different issue altogether.

@nclady49 Don't know why your doc won't do the surgery, unless it's a concern for the longevity of the implant. Be sure you let your physician know how much pain you're having and the impact on your daily quality of life. Consider asking for a referral to an orthopedic surgeon for evaluation.
