Flying Rays in the Sea of Cortez

This video was taken on 11/19/07 about 2 miles offshore from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in the Pacific Ocean. I took this video where the Sea of Cortez opens to the Pacific Ocean.

Apparently they are called "Flying Mobulas" and are common in that area.

They are feeding people. Went diving with them one day.

there was probably a predator around hunting them..many fish are known to jump over the water beacuase their swimming motion takes the with their momentum...
