Ah, the problems of shifting ballast, as spoken of in numerous publications....Still, the boat didn't capsize, only laid on its side...
Still, to claim the crew "inexperienced"...I don't know...

at 0:33 it looks like there was a mistake to turn the wheel towards starboard.
Scary situation, but one should be prepared how to act, not discuss...

@xylady2 you are correct but they do have a dagger board that is retractable google volvo open 70 and youll see

@pg911a5 they do not have two keels, they have a canting keel which let them have the keel on the windward side of the boat, thus when the boat gybed, the keel was still on the other side, causing them to capsize, they eased the sails and moved the keel to the windward side which enabled them to level the boat and get going again.

that's why they talk so much. Inexperienced crew is quiet and that is dangerous because you don't know what is going on in their heads ..... and if there is a fuck up and everybody keeps quiet you don't know what are they up to. Experienced guys talk and then everybody knows what is going on.
