  • so i use 10 gigs for both windows and ubuntu, and than share the rest so both can access.

  • how do you install this

i have a dell inspiron E1505 and i want this cool OS

the thing is i dont want to lose my memory b/c i have a lot of music and important documents but i dont have an external hard drive or a program to back up my hard drive

    is there another alternative

    please message back

  • Windows and Ubuntu use diffrent file systems, ubuntu usually being installed on a ext3 formatted drive, and windows on NTFS. Neither can read the other, so what I did was made a third partition fat32, because both OSs can read/write to it. If you set up a fat 32 partition, you could copy all your music and such onto that, than install ubuntu on a seperate, smaller partition. My laptop only has a 80 gig hardrive, and I duel boot both ubuntu and windows

  • H-K-emerald....its an emerald theme...

  • awn. Avant Window Manager. :)

  • The background can be found on Gnome-look I think...Than I darkened it in Gimp, and turned reflection up to full in Compiz Fusion...Does it run well on yours?
