This is the 1st ever drive (out of the garage) of my kitcar. Powered by a twin turbo Jag 5.3l V12. Although the turbos aren't yet connected its still sounds awesome. The exhaust is blowing a bit and the Megasquirt ECU needs some tweaking. The car will one day have a Zonda (like) body, and the exhaust is from a Ferrari Mondial.

  • um the turbos aren't connected to the intakes

  • @rustyprince100 Very true, but they are in the later videos, this was the 1st time the car moved on its own

What a super project you have going !! I love the look and sound of the Jag V12,

And very innovative project with the ECU,

Hats off to you for taking the time to learn all of the Dam in's and out's of the devil's spawn ECU. :).

I am an electronics Eng. and loath electronics in any car. Hell even a stereo.I would rather listen to the engine and exhaust note Or listen for the bang of a rod haha.

Do not need to tell you to be careful while in the ME but Be careful.!!

    Thanks for the post !

  • @EarlRausch Thanks! it is comments like this that make the whole thing worth while!

I am now looking at shipping the car over here to Bahrain to get a great body made, hopefuly in the New Year, so more updates to come :)

    Regards

    Nick

  • dear God!

  • ahh ok lol now i know why the turbos were so whiney, awesome car man

  • @Nettikturbo Hi Mate, Check out the latest videos. The car is on hold for the moment as I am working in the Middle East

  • @Nicktruman Haha, awesome! Can't beat that :)

Where are you with this project?

  • @Colt45GTO The manifolds are wrong, the standard manifolds pointed out the wrong way so i had to fab something to get the gasses out of the back. I would like to get a pair of 6 branches made, but as I#m not there its hard doing it remotely. The exhaust is off a Ferrari Mondial so the sound is different :) Also don't forget it has not been tuned, the ECU is homemede, its running twin Ford V6 coil packs on a wasted spark (2 cyls fire together) setup.

    Regards

    Nick

  • @Nicktruman yes sorry nick i possibly done what many done and commented without watching the other vids.

i have had 2 V12 HE XJS's i'm a mechanic on large complicated engines. it just sounded like it was missing, maybe its the exhaust tone? but even the later vids, it just doesn't sound right.
