Pat's video:

An excellent video made by my friend Liamjr24 on Pat Condell:

Pat Condell once again vents his hatred for Islam and everything its associated with, this time the direction of his anger is the Burqa, which is an easy target considering it can be used as a symbol to treat women as second class citizens. Still, Condell makes a few critical errors in his most recent video (what else is new...) and I feel the need to respond.

  • @easygoingbloke5 I think minorities need to be protected, and minority extremists do need to be protected to a certain degree, but not to the point at which all criticism towards them is censored.

And by the way, I have criticized Muslims in the past, I'm not a complete islamo-sympathizer... I just like to remind people that most Muslims (in the west) are good, peaceful, honest people.

  • @easygoingbloke5 Geert Wilders being denied his entry is wrong, for once I agree with you. I don't like Wilders, he's a bigot and a moron, but he deserves the right to say what he wants to stay.

  • @easygoingbloke5 You make a lot of posts. Just sayin'

I guess the central point I'm trying to make is that Pat clearly has an irrational hatred for the Islamic people, and his opinion on the Burqa is a symptom of that. I'm not trying to say you hold his postion, because I know you don't, and while I don't agree with women who wear the burqa, in my opinion it is their right to do so and Pat's opinion that women shouldn't have that right says something about his character.

  • @easygoingbloke5 no, im not naive enough to think that there wont be problems by the time islam and christianity are at the same level... but what exactly do you plan to do to stop that? ban islamic immigration? that would actually cause more problems than it would solve.

and ok fine, so women who wear burqas are more likely to get rickets. ok sure, but condell presents it as if every woman who wears a burqa will get rickets.

  • @easygoingbloke5 I don't think islamification is something to worry about, but not for the same reason most liberals do. Most libs say its because the number of muslims isnt growing fast enough, i say its because i legitimately dont care if the majority of people in the west are islamic.

And yes, I can dismiss jihadwatch as easily as i can dismiss answersingenesis when dealing with evolution/creation issues.

and im really more of a socialist than i am a liberal.

  • @easygoingbloke5 My anti-burqa conspiracy theory?

Your the one who's anti-burqa incase you forgot that. And no, I'm not pro-burqa, I'm I don't give a shit...

  • @easygoingbloke5 first of all, im not american, im canadian.

and omg islamic parties... oh the horror :/ seriously, there are quite a few "christian" parties in the west, parties that attempt to establish a dominion of christ in whatever country they're for. Hell, you could argue the united states republican party is a christian party, albeit not officialy.

So whether the party is christian or islamic, we only have to worry about them if they win. And that's unlikely to happen.

  • @easygoingbloke5 And it isn't rational to fear islam, its rational to fear extremism, i should have made that clearer.

and the western world cant have its own set of local requirements because were supposed to be better than the middle east, if we put our own set of requirements than we have sunk to their level.

  • @easygoingbloke5 In the west, women should have a choice, and there should be laws in place that prevent women from being forced to wear burqas and/or niqabs.

as for your constant references to the middle east, im aware of how fucked up the middle east is. however, as i have said before, its not because most people there are muslims, its because islam has taken over the government.

  • @diggydaz2007 ok dude... look, the video is out here and telling me "your not old enough to comprehend properly,: isnt going to change shit about what i do.

so either criticize something i actually said instead of just making ad hominem attacks, or fuck off
