where can i find find audio content 1" disk for logic 9

I want to install for first time logic 9 in my mac, but I dont have enough space in my hard disk. I dont want to install garage band and jam pack content, but i dont know If I do this I lose some instruments, patches or sounds. Do I lose some of them? By the other hand I want to install sound efects, in an external hard disk, is it posible?
