Done. LM380 amp is just $3.50 even at rip-off one-off pricing from Jaycar. Yes I know it's only 2.5W but 12W isn't even twice as loud as 2.5W and anyone who's heard a 2W power level will attest it's plenty loud enough for this sort of application. Of course if you REALLY need double-digit power then even the LM1875 25W amp is less than $10. But that's OK because I'm not bidding on the unit :)

Well, Thats easy , Dont bid On the unit!!!. The AMP is 25.00 to begin with , and as you said the case is 4 -5 , so theres 30 odd to start........Last comment , I dont think you even know what your talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. By the way , If you can get the bits for $20.00 and Build it let me know!!!!

Oh well , if you have all the equipment , drill press , jigs , protos , build one your self , and see how much . After all , you can buy a piece of paper for a couple of dollars and a paint a picture or a block of wood , and make something . Get A life!!!!
