Dam right he wishes he was older!
-
I missed this part - - what is this scene about? Why is she looking to a child to console her?
-
For some reason I keep coming back to this clip--its maybe my favorite Betty scene. I'm not always sure January Jones is a good actress but she kills in this.
-
I love the old cars in this clip. On the DVD it said it was 90 degrees in LA where they shot this.

One of those great scenes that makes you want to thank the writer (Matthew Weiner?) and the actor (January Jones) for what they've created.

Way to go lil' Glen. He'll be hittin that in no time!
-
Betty is so emotionally needy she has no idea of what she should do. She knows she needs a therapist, but Don does not approve.

poor woman

I think that's how Glen feels, minus the cheating husband part. He feels trapped in this life.

to see her struggle against the 60s is remarkable
i enjoy don but i hurt for betty
I love this scene and wasn't expecting it when I first saw it. You don't realize the extent of Betty's loneliness and disconnect until she breaks down to a little boy because he's the only person who shows any interest in her as a person and the only one who won't judge her for her flaws. I do think her interaction with Glenn is a bit inappropriate, but not for any sexual reasons - she's placing an emotional burden on someone who can't help her, who's too young to know what she's going through.

Betty's problems are more than just her cheating swine of a husband. Imagine being trapped in that life. She gets no respect or appreciation. It's obviously not a very rewarding, fulfilling existence.
